A couple of things you must try while in Seville, are Jamón ibérico, known a La Pata Negra, is the hind leg of a pig that has been allowed to roam free in oak groves, where it eats a special diet. It is said to be the best ham in the world and although it may at first be an acquired taste, once you get a taste for it, you will crave it for the rest of your life. Trust me, I’m drooling at the thought of it, as I write this! You’ll see the legs hanging just about everywhere, and every Seville household has a leg in their kitchen, which they slice and serve, usually with cheese and olives, whenever a visitor arrives. A single leg will cost in excess of 1,000 euros for the best quality!
The other favorite specialty is fresh baked, toasted bread (Sevillanos toast bread in a frying pan), which you smother in olive oil and then rub a half cut tomato on. It is delicious!

The hotel Las Casas de la Juderia is in perfect harmony with the surrounding aristocratic popular architecture. The Hotel is located in the Jewish Santa Cruz quarter, one of the most charming neighbourhoods in Seville where important families of the Spanish high nobility like the Zumiga or the Manriquez used to live.
