For a city of its size, Malaga has quite a small gay scene. That is due to Torremolinos, just down the road having a well established scene for many years, hence, most gay folk from Malaga party there.
Malaga’s history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. It was founded by the Phoenicians as Malaka about 770 BC.
Pablo Picasso, Hebrew poet and Jewish philosopher Solomon Ibn Gabirol and actor Antonio Banderas were born in Malaga.
